Pro bono publico (usually shortened to pro bono) is a phrase derived from Latin meaning "for the public good". The term is generally used to describe professional work undertaken voluntarily and without payment as a public service. It is common in the legal profession.Pro bono work by lawyers is comparatively performed in the U.S. more than other parts of the world including the Middle East. One of the main challenges to promote pro bono work is the limited resources available. However, TLF recognizes the importance of providing pro bono legal services to those who really need them.Towards achieving this noble goal, TLF has established a program for providing pro bono legal services and issuing legal periodicals in order to serve the community, thus nourishing the legal library and publishing specialized legal materials. TLF dedicates a part of its efforts and expertise towards helping those who need help, thus following the teaching of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) when he says: "God supports His Abds (servants) who help their brethren."We at TLF strive to do pro bono work and to secure legal assistance to the poor and the disadvantaged. We welcome to hear from you on how we can further offer pro-bono work and promote this noble objective.
